"A Delhi girl from a traditional family sets out on a solo honeymoon after her marriage gets cancelled."

I watched this movie with a dear friend of mine ! We laughed throughout the entire time and we had a blast. It was a really nice story, and I was very happy to see that feminism and emancipation of women are finally in the spotlight of a Bollywood movie.

The story is predictable after reading the synopsis, but I still enjoyed watching it, it was very funny and the character of Rani is endearing, she's really the girl-next-door but she doesn't realize her worth and what she's capable of doing ! I found the last scene (spoiler alert) when she says "Thank you" was very powerful.

It is the first movie featuring Kangana Ranaut that I like. I honestly found her attitude a bit over the top lately (criticizing publicly Deepika Padukone and talking about her rubbish love life with the very well-respected actor Hrithik Roshan...) I always thought she lacked class, and her performances never convinced me either. However I was surprised with the Rani character because she really enrolls her innocence, and seems very real and natural.

Oh and also, Lisa Haydon ? Hello, why so beautiful ? She's an amazing actress, she nailed it ! The bad point is that the story is supposedly set in Paris. But the actors are either talking non-sense french or just mis-pronouncing words. I mean I know the whole audience isn't french, but I am. So it just didn't seem realistic. I don't think it takes too much to really practice a scenario and work hard to learn to pronounce words correctly !
