"Neerja is the story of the courageous Neerja Bhanot, who sacrificed her life while protecting the lives of 359 passengers on the Pan Am flight 73 in 1986. The flight was hijacked by a terrorist organization."

Now, this is what I call a movie.. This biopic is based on real events, that happened on Pan Am Flight 73. 4 terrorists hijacked the flight at Karachi. Most of the passengers and crew could escape, thanks to Neerja who sacrificed her life to save them. 

Everything about the movie is perfect, it took my breath away and not for a second did I even think about the rating, that's how fascinated I was. It is one of a kind and very special, the story is as beautiful as tragic. The values that Neerja will keep on living forever and are everlasting. She represents courage, kindness and everything good about humanity. She is hope.  

Once you start watching you simply cannot stop. I kept sobbing throughout the entire movie and I must say I was completely blown away by Sonam's performance. She did great justice to Neerja's act of bravery, as her performance was very subtle and inspiring. I never thought she would deliver such a good message, but she was perfect for the role. 

The story is very heartbreaking and I would definitely watch this movie again and again. Honestly one of the best movies ever made.
