Anamika : The untold story

Rating : 7/10

"Jia Rao meets recently widowed Vikram, both fall in love, get married, and live in his palace in Rajasthan. Jia finds out that everyone in the vicinity still believes that Vikram's first wife, Anamika, who allegedly met a sudden death, may still be alive."

You have no idea for how long I have been wanting to watch this movie ! Therefore, my expectations were very high, and although there were some flaws, the movie was globally good. (and the cast is extremly good looking!)

It has a very interesting plot, the outcome is great, I was not disappointed by the story. It is very original, and once you start watching, you can't stop. The suspense is very well maintained throughout the movie.

On the bad side, I have to blame the actors' acting, because none of them convinced me. You must believe what you are saying, otherwise it is hard for the viewer to keep up with the story. Their acting really bothered me and kept me from enjoying fully the movie. I was especially disappointed by Minissha Lamba's performance, as I had seen her in Bachna ae Haseeno, and she was better than in this movie.

Some camera shots also seemed very amateurs, which is a pity, because it instantly descredits the quality of the movie. The dancing scenes were not good at all, they just seemed very uncomfortable dancing, and they definitely didn't rehearse enough.

But this is overall a good movie, with a very good an interesting plot. It would have been a better movie with more work, and better acting. Great "horror" movie to watch with friends at night.
