"A ruthless cop wages a war against an unscrupulous gangster. However, certain events lead to the cop questioning his principles and motives. This leaves behind a battle between good and bad with what is good and what is bad being unclear."
Vikram Vedha is my favorite tamil movie. The synopsis intriguided me so I wanted to give the movie a chance, and I am glad I did !

From now on, I want to expend my cinematographic culture, I want to promote movies that might not be very famous but that are worth it ! I don't only want to watch Bollywood movies, I want to talk about movies that are not easy to find, that are special, that truly bring something to you. Obviously, I still want to focus mainly on Indian Cinema, (more generally Desi Cinema) but definitely want to develop my culture in tamil, telugu, malayalam, kannada, bengali, marathi and punjabi movies. So no worries, it doesn't change anything for you, I will try to pick up the best movies I can ! I'm very excited as I think it will bring something fresh and new content for my blog. Never settle in your comfort zone, and try new things.

That being said, let's focus on the movie ! First things first, I have to confess I had a huge crush on Madhavan during the entire movie (sorry not sorry), he is very charismatic and talented. All the other actors that were part of the project did a really great job, everyone made the movie entertaining.

Some things about the movie are not perfect, I thought it was quite too long, it would have been better to cut some scenes and sometimes, get to the point. When there are too many characters and too many things happening at the same time (and also with lies etc) it can get hard to catch up. Sometimes I felt like it was getting very complicated to follow the story, and I even had to read the detailled synopsis to make sure I got everything.

I really really really enjoyed the storyline, everything was quite dosed and balanced, there were songs, but not too many. Action, but not too much. Love, but not too much. So that was nice. Vikram Vedha brings a very important and existential question to life : how can one really know what is good or bad ? Not everything in life is black & white. Indeed, the movie depicts that, and somehow I found deep poetry in the story. The movie left me agape and speech-less. The climax was very intense and I loved the ending, it was very philosophical and leaves a lot to the imagination.

Vikram Vedha is one my favorite movies, I think you should give it a try someday, it has a lot of soul.
