We encounter our favorite Bollywood Diva in "Heroine". Kareena is one of my favorite in the industry, she has talent and style. She's a real queen of B-Town. One of my favorite thing about her, is -not only her dazzling beauty- but also her movie choices. She has the guts to pick interesting, different, controversial movies, because she privileges quality over commercial success. 

This movie is shot in a very interesting manner, most of the scenes are close-ups, which intensifies them, there is a tense ambience throughout the movie. Arjun and Kareena have an amazing chemistry and they both are incredible actors.

I loved Mahi's character, she is so complexed, lost. She might be a star, yet she is very vulnerable and this movie shows the setbacks, and the behind the scenes of her life. Kareena portrayed her incredibly well, we can see her descent into hell slowly but surely, even physically. Mahi acts like a child, but she has no bad intention, she looks very innocent even though she doesn't always do the right thing. I think her story would have been different with a good friend by her side. 

I admit that I was quite shocked by the ending, it was not what I was expecting, and I was quite disappointed, but after some time thinking, I realized how lovely it was. The producers leave it all the imagination. 

Very intense, oppressive movie but totally worth the watch.
