"A vast, panoramic tale charting the fortunes of four large families and exploring India and its rich and varied culture at a crucial point in its history."
I must start by saying that I haven't read the book first. But I definitely want to and will soon. I really liked the series globally. However, there are many things that I want to talk about. Something that really bugs me is the fact that they speak english. I don't see any reason to that, and I don't like the fact that India wants to fit in so bad. They should have spoken in hindi, and added subtitles for foreign viewers. The kissing scenes were also a big no for me.I'm old fashioned in this way.The way the actors delivered the dialogues doesn't seem natural, due to the language. But it's not about bad performance, since all the actors are really good. I think it's just the way they were directed.
Anyways, I liked the story but sometimes it's hard to follow because there are so many related characters. Some of them are not developped enough which is really a pity honestly. I want to get to know more some of them, and follow an actual storyline. Moreover, there were a few twists that were finally not explored. So I truly hope there will be a season é otherwise it doesn't make any sense..
